Berkeley Symphony’s “Music in the Schools” Spotlights Young Performers

BPEF is a proud sponsor and partner with Berkeley Symphony in our schools.  Professional musicians and budding young instrumentalists work over the course of a year, culminating in annual "I'm A Performer" concerts!

Grants in Action!

Using a BPEF classroom grant, King Middle School drama teacher Richard Silberg hired a shadow puppet artist to work with his students as they developed Curiosity Will be Rewarded:  A Night in the Hagia Sophia.  Silberg, a  BPEF 2010 "Distinguished Educator," traveled to Turkey last summer on a Fulbright grant.
